Byterider AI Gateway

One entry point for all your AI usage

See who uses which AI, what it costs and whether it still performs well. And have the controls to adjust without users noticing.

Why a gateway?

AI usage grows faster than the overview of it.

Teams try out tools, applications talk directly to external AI services and self-hosted models run somewhere on a server. Each part works on its own, but nobody sees the whole: which models are in use, who has access, what it costs per month and whether quality stays stable.

The AI Gateway places one managed point between users and models. AI traffic that passes through the gateway is fully visible and verifiable, without reconstruction afterwards. Traffic that bypasses it becomes traceable because the gateway data serves as a reference in network monitoring.

What the AI Gateway does

Monitoring and day-to-day management of AI, in one place.

Access

One entry point

Users, teams and applications get access through the gateway, each with their own rights and limits. What runs behind it, self-hosted models or external services, stays invisible to them.

Monitoring

Insight into usage and quality

Usage, cost, speed and errors are tracked continuously, per user and per application. Deviations stand out before they become a problem.

Operations

Adjust without interruption

Switch models, redistribute capacity, set priorities and plan maintenance. It is designed so that users do not have to adapt their applications.

Control

Enforce the rules

Who has access, which limits apply and how much may be consumed is enforced and logged at the gateway. The content of the traffic can also be checked against the agreed rules. That makes AI usage explainable and verifiable.

Who it is for

  • Organisations with self-hosted models that want to share, monitor and protect their capacity.
  • Teams using several external AI services that want one place for access, cost and rules.
  • Schools and training providers that want students to work with AI in a controlled way, with insight into what happens.
  • Regulated environments where it must be demonstrable who used which AI and for what.

Current status

In development, in use

The AI Gateway runs today in our own environment and with a limited group of users, including during workshops.

We keep building on what we learn there. More information about how it works, the roadmap and the possibilities is available on request and in a personal conversation.
